Our Philosophy
WonderBlossom Learning Studio was founded on the belief that learning should be both enjoyable and a creative endeavor in its own right.
Our mission is to nurture the innate curiosity in every child and build interests that will last a lifetime. We breathe new life into traditional academic subjects by connecting them to real-world applications, allowing children to see the relevance and beauty of what they’re learning. Supporting their growth through creative course design and child-centered teaching methods, we foster an atmosphere where kids feel safe to take risks and express themselves fully. We pride ourselves on cultivating joy, character, and confidence, not just academic skills.
WonderBlossom is a learning studio, not a test prep center.
There are many places that promise acceleration at the expense of a child’s natural development. That’s not us. We offer a range of courses that appeal to an insatiable intellectual and creative appetite. We believe that life is too short — and too full of wonder— to spend it preparing for standardized tests or endlessly filling out worksheets.
At WonderBlossom, it’s serious learning — just for fun. :)
Peggy is a seasoned educator with almost 20 years of experience in some of New York City's premier progressive public and independent schools. She holds degrees in Human Development and Interior Design from Cornell University, as well as Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Peggy currently specializes in math leadership, supporting her school in developing and implementing problem solving focused math programs. After successful tenures in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Riverdale, she is excited to bring her expertise back to her native Queens, where she can have her own classroom again to teach the subjects she loves and wishes more children had the time to explore. This is the beginning of her dream, modeled after her own alma mater, to create a mini university for children, where they can pursue a range of topics with expert educators. As Ezra Cornell declared in 1864, “I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study.”
Known for her natural rapport with children, Peggy has earned a reputation as a “child whisperer.” She effortlessly engages students of all ages with a unique blend of humor, warmth, and high expectations. Skilled in adapting her approach to meet diverse learning styles, Peggy excels at assessing their current abilities and charting the next steps for growth.
As a mom of two young WonderBlossoms, she designs her classes with her own children in mind. Peggy’s greatest hope is that they retain their sense of wonder and inquisitiveness well into old age. Raised by parents who emphasized the fearless pursuit of knowledge and sense of self over perfect grades, she aims to instill the same values in her children — teaching them that no insect is too small to admire and no star too distant to reach.
