Frequently Asked Questions

Does my child have to be currently enrolled in a G&T program to take your class?

While our program is tailored to students with proven intellectual and creative abilities, we recognize the shortage of G&T seats for eligible students. As long as your student is eligible for the G&T program and/or demonstrates a deep love of learning, we welcome his/her participation.

(We deeply respect the unique strengths of twice-exceptional learners. At this time, WonderBlossom regrets that we’re not equipped to provide the specialized support they may need.)

Are WonderBlossom classes in-person or virtual?

Young children constantly learn from each other. That’s why we are committed to in-person learning in mixed age groups.

We are located in the heart of downtown Flushing (feel free to pick up groceries after drop off) and offer a comfortable waiting area for parents.

Why is your tuition higher than other extracurriculars in my area?

Since WonderBlossom is more than just worksheets or a one-time class. It’s the only curated learning experience designed specifically for advanced learners here in Queens. We see it as a valuable, long-term investment in your child’s life skills — similar to swim class!

Here’s an example of how we’re different: In a typical STEM class, your child might program a robot. In our studio, they learn to code a robot mouse’s path through its natural habitat as part of a unit on mammals to connect science, logic, and storytelling in one session.

Why do you only focus on one theme per semester?

We view our semester-long themes as learning adventures. Like reading a good novel, you need time to let the story unfold and let the wonder and mystery reveal themselves. And because we explore the content through multiple approaches, students are always on their toes and applying knowledge rather than simply absorbing it.

What is Family Visiting Day?

At the end of each semester, we host a Family Visiting Day—a joyful celebration where families are invited to experience the project-based learning we’ve accomplished. It’s a chance for students to use public speaking skills share their work, take pride in their progress, and shine in front of the people who matter most.

Do you offer trial classes?

Yes! We’re so confident your child will love our classes that you are welcome to try one out. If your child wants to join our class, we will prorate the tuition to include the trial class. If the class wasn’t a good fit, no harm, no payment, no foul.

How can I pay for WonderBlossom classes?

We currently accept payments via Zelle and cash. Tuition is due in full before the start of the first class.

Is there parking at your location?

Unfortunately no, but our proximity to SkyView and Tangram Malls offers plenty of other parking options. We are also within easy walking distance from the 7 train, LIRR, and many buses servicing downtown Flushing. You can also drop off your children at our 41st Ave. entrance and we will chaperone them upstairs to our studio space.

I’m still not sure if this is the right program for my child and I still have questions. Can we talk?

Yes! We love questions at WBLS and are happy to schedule a consultation to tell you more about our program and discuss whether it would be a good fit for your child! Simply use the CONTACT US button to reach out and we’ll talk soon!
