Our Mission
Welcome to WonderBlossom Learning Studio
Where we learn just for the love of it.
WonderBlossom Learning Studio (WBLS) is an enrichment program designed specifically for the children with a thousand questions who crave more—more answers, more exploration time, more pure joy in learning.
As a former teacher and curriculum designer for gifted students in Manhattan’s District 2 and The Speyer School, I saw the differences between public and private approaches to gifted education along with the range of plentiful enrichment options available just a subway stop away.
Now as a parent of a child in a Queens public G&T program myself, I created WonderBlossom because I saw a need: even strong G&T programs often can't meet the full potential of our brightest thinkers alone. Public schools provide a great education but are limited by their curricula, time, and resources, and while independent schools offer more freedom and depth of learning, they’re not accessible to everyone. And why do Manhattan kids get to have all the fun?
WonderBlossom offers the best of both worlds.
Our Saturday sessions blend the intellectual rigor of elite independent schools with the heart, flexibility, and innovation of a local parent-led program right here in the most diverse borough in the world! We use our own creative freedom to address the needs of gifted learners not just academically, but emotionally and socially—offering a space where they can ask questions such as “Do rhinos have blood? Where does the water in the drain come from? Does everyone have a belly button?” and be completely themselves. WBLS offers a dynamic environment where gifted and talented children can connect meaningfully—with ideas and with each other.
What makes WBLS different?
Deep, interdisciplinary learning in science, literacy, math, design, and more.
Small groups for meaningful collaboration and personalized attention.
Project-based approach allows for integration and application of new knowledge.
Led by experienced educators who understand the needs of gifted learners.
A joyful, welcoming environment where children feel seen, heard, and inspired.
WonderBlossom is not about acceleration — it’s about slowing down to ask WHY.
Peggy is a veteran educator with extensive G&T experience in some of New York City's premier progressive public and independent schools. With degrees in Human Development from Cornell University, as well as Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, Peggy understands and respects the motivations and developmental characteristics of gifted students. She is excited to bring her expertise back to the most diverse borough in NYC, where she can teach the subjects she loves and wishes more children had the time to explore.
As a mom of two young WonderBlossoms, she designs her classes with her own children in mind and is committed to offering premium alternatives to the test prep programs. Peggy’s greatest hope is that they retain their sense of wonder and inquisitiveness well into old age. Raised by parents who emphasized the fearless pursuit of knowledge and sense of self over perfect grades, she aims to instill the same values in her children — teaching them that no insect is too small to admire and no star too distant to reach.
