Slow Roast Math: The Art of Problem Solving
(Grades 4-5)
Let your child rediscover the joy of numbers and how math fits into their world in unexpectedly delightful ways! Using carefully selected games, problems, and hands-on activities, this class takes the time to let mathematical thinking "simmer" and develop at its own pace. We savor each concept through guided discussions and let the flavors of understanding deepen gradually — no rushing, just pure enjoyment, support, and discovery. Pulling from resources such as NRICH, MOEMS, and Mathematical Mindsets, we celebrate the process of problem solving as much as the results, inviting curiosity, creativity, and fun into every equation.

My Song, My Voice: The Art of Monologue
(Grades 4-6)
Have you yearned to hear your child speak their truth with poise and confidence? In this Level I performance class, your child will choose a song that holds special meaning for them and learn the skills to write a deep and meaningful monologue inspired by that song. They will also learn how to use their voice, face, and body to fully convey their sentiments. This class ends with a live performance in our studio space of original prose interspersed with music that will leave the audience asking for an encore! (Good thing we will send you a recorded copy!)

Cursive & Penmanship: The Art of Letter Writing
(Grades 3-5)
Want to help your child take their artistry to the next level while improving their handwriting? In this Level I class, they will learn the correct and graceful strokes of cursive writing through multi-sensory techniques while enhancing their social writing skills! Students will also learn about the history of cursive writing as they revive the charming art of mail correspondence and connect with beloved family, friends, or new pen pals. Along the way, they’ll savor taking the time to write thoughtfully and the sweet anticipation of receiving a real letter in return. As they develop their "paper personality," they’ll gain confidence and a deeper appreciation for the written word.
Saturdays, 3:15 - 4:15PM | Jan. 18 - Mar. 15, 2025 | 9 classes | $595* | Instructor: Peggy T.

Face and Form: The Art of Character Drawing
(Grades K-2)
Do you have an aspiring artist at home? Fuel their creative drive with the skills to make their characters truly come alive! In this class, students will focus on mastering facial expressions and dynamic body movements — essential tools for turning static drawings into vibrant, emotive characters. Whether your child’s characters are leaping into action, expressing joy, or holding an umbrella in a storm, they will have the tools to draw what they visualize. With step-by-step instruction and hands-on practice, there's no limit to their imagination. As a culminating keepsake project, the children will create a colorful portrait collection of their favorite creation for you to hang up at home.
