Gluestick Stories: The Art of Collage

(Grades PreK-2)

What better way for young artists to express themselves than through the timeless art of collage inspired by classic tales? In this exciting follow-up to our drawing and story-acting class, we’ll explore a variety of collage forms —from experiential to representational — using materials like paper strips, textures, recycled items, and more! By repeatedly working with the same versatile medium, children will build confidence and refine their skills in composition, rhythm, and fine motor development. Through engaging interactive read-alouds, we’ll also discover authors and artists, such as Leo Lionni, who use collage to make connections between their work and our own creative process.

Saturdays, 12:30 -1:30PM | Apr. 5 - Jun. 14, 2025 | 9 classes | $295* | Instructor: Peggy T.

* Tuition includes all materials. No classes 4/19 and 5/24.

Cursive & Connections: The Art of Letter Writing

(Grades 3-5)

Want to help your child connect socially while improving their handwriting? In this “class form the past”, they will learn the correct and graceful strokes of cursive writing while enhancing their social skills! Students will learn about the history of cursive writing as they revive the charming art of mail correspondence and connect with beloved family, friends, or new pen pals. They will learn the elements of a well-written letter such as appropriate greetings, sharing news, and asking thoughtful questions. Along the way, they will savor the sweet anticipation of receiving a real letter in return. As they develop their "paper personality," they’ll gain confidence and a deeper appreciation for the written word.

Saturdays, 2:00 - 3:00 PM | Apr. 5 - Jun. 14, 2025 | 9 classes | $295* | Instructor: Peggy T.

* Tuition includes all materials. No classes 4/19 and 5/24.

Logic Laboratory: The Art of Reasoning

(Grades 3-5)

What if your child could learn math without even realizing it? In this fun and interactive class, students will strengthen their problem solving and logical reasoning skills through engaging games and puzzles like Nim and Giotto. Whether working collaboratively or in friendly competition, participants will dive into the challenges, then break them down to uncover the strategies behind the solutions. No specific math knowledge is needed — just a love for puzzles and a willingness to take risks. Together, we’ll discover the math behind the fun! (Note: This class will celebrate and enhance children’s natural abilities to reason and deduce rather than emphasize specific content skills.)

Saturdays, 3:15 - 4:15PM | Apr. 5 - Jun. 14, 2025 | 9 classes | $395* | Instructor: Peggy T.

* Tuition includes all materials. No classes 4/19 and 5/24.
